For generations, the Wurlitzer name has been connected to music and making things. Here in North Tonawanda, that legacy is part of the building’s identity—and part of the city’s manufacturing story.
Today, the building brings a different mix of work and life under one roof. Chocolate, beer, retail, showrooms, celebrations, offices and industrial businesses all have a place in its next chapter.
A musical inheritance
Craft that
carried a sound.
The Wurlitzer story belongs to North Tonawanda’s wider history of musical-instrument manufacturing. Band organs and the paper rolls that played them brought music to carrousels and public places.
That craft is still preserved locally. The Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum maintains historic Wurlitzer music-roll equipment and original master rolls, offering a closer look at how this music was made.

Over years of investment and restoration, The Wurlitzer has grown from an industrial business address into a place people come to shop, eat, celebrate and work. Its industrial spaces remain part of that mix.
The next chapter is taking shape upstairs. Third-floor restoration focuses on generous natural light and flexible spaces, with buildouts developed around the businesses that will use them.
